The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge of the holy is understanding. Prov 9:10 And, For I am not ashamed of the Gospel for it is the power (Gr. dunamis from which we get the word dynamo and dynamite) of God unto salvation.
We can be eternally grateful that the POWER of GOD is most fully demonstrated in the Gospel. Only as we allow that Infinite Power to "metamorph" our lives (see Rom 12:2) can we begin to "Fear God and give glory to to Him".

It is always tempting to put God in a box; something we can handle. We don't like having an unpredictable God. Or the idea of someone truly all-powerful. We always want to limit Him. Things that are uncontrollable make us uncomfortable. The hardest thing to do for me is to relinquish control, to admit I can't do it.

Quite true
fear is healthy.
Fear of hell is sometimes associated with a twisted presentation of the gospel. Another kind of fear is fundamental for our love of God
